Cheyenne led Taima onto the track. The large heavy warmblood looked out of place on the track full of small slender Thoroughbreds. She led him out to the turf with his english saddle on. She stood their and admired Taimas beauty for a second. The sun hit his snow white dapples so they shone bright on his light grey coat. He shook his head as he watched the oter horses, impatient to run. Cheyenne kne whe loved to run. He was'nt as fast as the TBs but he was much more graceful, anyway this was a good place to practice a hand gallop and extended canter . To delay no further Chey jumped onto his back like the native americans used to do it, without a mounting block . Her jet black hair covered her green hazel eyes breifly has she swung onto his back. She looked down, used to the height of a 17 hh horse. She walked him out onto the track, a gentle morning breeze blowing in, cooling them. Cheyenne felt Taima tremble, ready to run. She smiled she wa sabout to experience the reason she called him Taima, or should I say Thunder. She gently nudged his side, but that was all that was needed. Taima lept right from a relaxed walk into a full blown gallop. Cheyenne laughed and leaned forward onto his neck as he surged forward. This is what she loved, feeling as one with Taima, at that moment they were one together. They sped by many breezing Thoroughbreds, faster then Chey expected. She slowed him so that he wouldn't hurt himself before the dressage lesson. She brought him down to a walk, he wasn't breathing to heavily but seemed to not resent her decision to walk him. After a little cooling of, with a subtle que she asked for an hand gallop. It was beautiful as he went straight into one, she felt the beautiful movement and tempo of his legs, the ryhtym of his hoofbeats. She closed her eyes and alowed everything to slipaway except for him. She squeezed a little with her upper legs and asked him for the extended canter, one of her favorite most beautiful gaits. He did it beautifully. After 15 minutes of mor ework sher brought him back down to a walk, proud of what he had done.
